Good to see you again...it's been a while since I've updated, so I have a lot of new stuff coming your way. Check out the shows page or my myspace page (www.myspace.com/calabresemusic) for my next appearance.

The upcoming highlight is a gig with the Latina Actress/Pop Star Ximena Sarinana in Mexico City opening for Joss Stone! Check out Ximena's excellent music at www.myspace.com/ximenamusic.

I'll also be joining Cheryl B. Engelhardt for her upcoming tours of the West, the Northeast, and England at www.cbemusic.com. Also check out her new album, "Craving the Second," on which I share drum chair duties with New York heavies Josh Dion and SNL drummer Shawn Pelton. Quite an honor.

The Lake Street Dive album "in this episode..." is completed! 1,000 copies showed up at Bridget's door last friday, and we're ready to rock. We are in the process of setting up an online purchasing account, and possibly an itunes option, and possibly delivery by messenger pigeon. I, Michael Calabrese, will be accompanying four other musicians on a trip down to Panama City, Panama, this January representing NEC and YOUR country at the annual Panama International Jazz Festival hosted by Jazz Pianist Danilo Perez.

We'll be down there for a week, in the sweltering jungle heat, playing for the Panamanians and anyone else who might like to show up. Visit www.panamajazzfestival.com to stay updated on performances, pictures, and special events.

Please be patient...Lake Street Dive is hopefully finishing the mixing process today! Whoopee. After that, there's mastering and designing layout, but if everything goes as planned the record will be out by mid November. Stay tuned, and check out myspace.com/lakestreetdive for rough samples and updates.

Lake Street Dive just got out of the recording studio on September 5th, after 26 hours of recording, and we are going to have a full-length album out for purchase soon! The 12 tracks contain some more recent originals, as well as old favorites. We recorded at Q-Division studios in Davis Square, Cambridge, MA, with the help of our engineer Chris."The Dive" as we affectionately refer to it is very happy with our project, and we hope you will be too. By the way, if you have any ideas for a name for the album, please email me...we're dying out here.

Also, I will be touring a little bit of the Northeast with Cheryl B. Engelhardt's band (www.cbemusic.com) in late October, so stay tuned and look for the dates and venues. Also look out for her upcoming EP, which will feature some new tunes and hot grooves.
